As part of its monthly nature walk series, Magadh Nature Conservation Trust (MNCT) organised a special butterfly walk at Ratnagiri, Rajgir, under Big Butterfly Month, an initiative to promote awareness and documentation of butterfly diversity.

The walk brought together 18 participants, including nature enthusiasts, to explore the rich butterfly diversity of the Ratnagiri landscape. Participants observed and documented 25 butterfly species, learning to identify different species and understand their ecological significance.

The activity encouraged participants to develop an interest in local biodiversity, nature observation, and citizen science. By combining outdoor learning with species documentation, MNCT aims to make nature walks an effective tool for environmental education and conservation awareness.

Through its monthly nature walks, MNCT continues to connect people with the biodiversity of Nalanda and promote greater appreciation for the region's natural heritage.
