Community Empowerment
Lasting conservation depends on the active participation of communities who share their lives and livelihoods with nature. MNCT works to strengthen this connection by creating opportunities for local people to participate in conservation while improving their economic well-being.
Our efforts include supporting local bird guides who use their knowledge of biodiversity to earn a livelihood through nature-based tourism. We aim to expand such opportunities and support communities whose livelihoods depend on natural resources, helping them build sustainable income sources linked to biodiversity conservation.
Through community engagement, nature education, and capacity-building, we encourage local people to become active stewards of their natural heritage. We seek to strengthen skills, recognise traditional and local knowledge, and promote responsible tourism that benefits both communities and ecosystems.
Our goal is to make conservation a source of opportunity for local communities, where protecting nature and sustaining livelihoods go hand in hand.
